BURLINGTON - HARDWICK

Who We Are
The Craftsbury Chamber Players, founded in 1966, is a group of world-class musicians who perform both masterworks and lesser known chamber gems every summer. Their uniqueness is their ever-changing ensemble configurations. With a fine-honed sense of tradition and innovation and appreciation for scale and scope, Music Director Mary Anthony Cox puts together concerts that feature intimate duets, engaging trios, and dramatic quartets and quintets. The music ranges from classical, romantic, 20th century and contemporary period. In 2009, The Craftsbury Chamber Players received “Editors’ Choice of “Best Chamber Music of New England” from Yankee Magazine. Jim Lowe, music critic for the Times Argus wrote, “The Craftsbury Chamber Players are responsible for some of the best and most interesting chamber music in Vermont.”The players come from around the world, drawn by the Vermont scenery and way of life, plus a desire to play challenging chamber music together. In the summer they host a Chamber Music Festival, which runs the last three weeks of July and the first three weeks of August. Chamber Music Concerts are Wednesday evenings at the University of Vermont RECITAL HALL, Redstone Campus, Burlington, and Thursday evenings at the HARDWICK TOWN HOUSE, Hardwick.Just a beginner at chamber music?
