Joyce Hammann - Violin
Joyce Hammann, one of the most sought after violinists in New York City, has performed and recorded with such artists as Paul McCartney, Tony Bennett, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cyndy Lauper, Liza Minelli, Sheryl Crow, Natalie Cole, Mike Mainieri, Richard Bona and Wynton Marsalis. She can be heard on many recordings including John Zorn’s ‘String Quartets’, Ted Nash’s ‘Double Quartet, Rhyme and Reason’, Sam Zyman’s ‘Bashe’, Uri Caines ‘Wagner and Venezia’, Manhattan Transfer’s ‘Vibrate’ and Michael Breckers ‘Wide Angles’. Joyce, who began her music studies under the Suzuki System at the age of seven, is a graduate of The Juilliard School where she studied with Ivan Galamian and Dorothy Delay. She is currently the concertmaster for the longest running show on Broadway, The Phantom of the Opera.
